Hugh "The Great" Of Vermandois was born in 1057 in Crepi.  Hugh "The Great" Of Vermandois' father was King Henry I Of France CAPET and his mother was Princess Anna OF KIEV.  His paternal grandparents were King Robert II "The Pious" Of France CAPET and Queen Constance Of France OF ARLES; his maternal grandparents were Grand Prince/Duke Yaroslav I "The Wise" OF KIEV and Princess Ingegerd OF SWEDEN. He had a brother named Philip I "The Fair" OF France.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 45 on October 18th, 1102.
