Alice de was born about 1207 in Copeland, Cumberland, England. Alice de's father was Richard de Lucy , Lord of Copeland and her mother was Ada de Morville. Her paternal grandparents were Reynold de Lucy , of Copeland & Egremont and Amabel FitzWilliam , Heiress of Copeland; her maternal grandparents were Hugh de Morville , of Burgh & Knaresborough and Hawise (Heloise) de Stuteville. She had a brother and a sister, named Richard de and Amabel de. She was the youngest of the three children. She had a half-brother named Thomas III de.General Notes
ALICE DE LUCY, younger daughter and heir, was married to Alan de MULTON by 1219. She and her issue took her name of Lucy. Alan was living in 1250. As Alice de Lucy, widow of Alan de Multon, she granted land to Calder Abbey in 1272, Thomas de Lucy, her son and heir, being a witness. She died shortly before 24 March 1287/8.
