Roger II de was born about 1219 in Leybourne, Malling, Kent, England.  Roger II de's father was Roger de Leybourne , Lord of Berwick and his mother was Eleanor de Turnham , Heir of Great Berwick.  His paternal grandparents were Robert de Leybourne and Margaret; his maternal grandparents were Stephen de Turnham , of Artington & Berwick and Edeline de Broc , Heiress of Artington.  He was an only child.  He died after October 15th, 1271 in Elham, Kent, England.
