David Vychane was born about 1373 in Of, Wernddu, Monmouthshire, England. David Vychane's father was Guillem Ap JENKEN and his mother was Gwenlian Verch HOWEL. His paternal grandparents were Jenken Ap ADAM and Gwenlian Verch ARON; his maternal grandfather was Howel "Vacham" Ap HOWEL. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John Ap, David Ap, Howel Ap, Howell, Thomas Ap Guillem, Philip, Jane Verch, Gwladis Verch, Gwenllian Verch and Janet Verch. He was the second youngest of the eleven children.-
