Henry was born in 1576 in of Down Amney. Henry's father was [Sir] Anthony Hungerford and his mother was Dorothy Danvers. His paternal grandparents were [Sir Knight] John Hungerford and Margaret Blount; his maternal grandparents were John Danvers and Ann Stradling. He had a brother and two sisters, named George, Jane and Anne. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Edmund, Thomas, John, Edward, Dorothy and Elizabeth or Dorothy.General Notes
