John Hathorne

John was born about 1530 in of Bray, Berks., Engl.. John's father was Thomas Hawthorne and his mother was Joan Chambers. His paternal grandfather was Robert Hathorne; his maternal grandfather was Robert Chambers. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, James, Robert, William, Henry, Jane, Alice and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
