Albert de was born about 1050 in Avranches, Normandy, France.  Albert de's father was Richard le Goz Viscount d' Avranches and his mother was Emma de Conteville. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Hugh "Lupus" d', Turstin of, Judith d' and Margaret d'.  He was the third oldest of the five children. He had a half-sister named Albreda le Goz d'.  He died about 1100 in Manchester, Lancashire, England.
