Hedwige (Hartwige) was born about 0910 in Saxony, Germany.  Hedwige (Hartwige)'s father was [Duke Of Saxony-King Of Germany] Heinrich I "The Fowler" Of Germany [Duke Of Saxony-King Of Germany] and her mother was [Queen Germans] Matilda (Saint) Of Ringleheim [Queen Germans].  Her paternal grandparents were [Count] Otto I "The Illustrious" Duke Of The [Count]/Saxony and [Empress] Hedwige Holy Roman Empire [Empress]; her maternal grandparents were [Count] Theodoric Ringleheim [Count]/Dietrich and [Countess] Ludmilla Ragnhildis Ringleheim [Countess]. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Otto I "The Great", Henry "The Quarrelsome" Of, Bruno I Koln Of, St Breuno Archbishop Of Cologne Duke Of, Gerberge Princess Of and Adelheid Of.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died on March 14th, 0965 in Aix-La-Chapelle (Aachen).  She was buried on May 1st, 0965.
