Otto I "The Great" was born on November 23rd, 0912 in Of, Saxony, Germany.  Otto I "The Great"'s father was [Duke Of Saxony-King Of Germany] Heinrich I "The Fowler" Of Germany [Duke Of Saxony-King Of Germany] and his mother was [Queen Germans] Matilda (Saint) Of Ringleheim [Queen Germans].  His paternal grandparents were [Count] Otto I "The Illustrious" Duke Of The [Count]/Saxony and [Empress] Hedwige Holy Roman Empire [Empress]; his maternal grandparents were [Count] Theodoric Ringleheim [Count]/Dietrich and [Countess] Ludmilla Ragnhildis Ringleheim [Countess]. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry "The Quarrelsome" Of, Bruno I Koln Of, St Breuno Archbishop Of Cologne Duke Of, Hedwige (Hartwige), Gerberge Princess Of and Adelheid Of.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 60 on May 7th, 0973 in Memleben.
