Alice de was born about 1119 in Yorkshire, England.  Alice de's father was Walter de Walter de , Lord of Folkingham/, Sir/Gant and her mother was Matilda (Maud) de Brittany.  Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert de Gant , Lord of Folkingham and Alice Countess de Montfort; her maternal grandparents were Stephen Count of Brittany , Baron of Richmond and Hawise Sourdeval. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Gilbert de, Robert de, Agnes de and Miss de.  She was the third oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother named William de.  She died after 1176.

‌Alice de and Roger de were married in a religious ceremony after 1141 in 2nd husband.  They had a son named Nele de.
