Fulk III "The Black" Of Aujou was born in 0975.  Fulk III "The Black" Of Aujou's father was Count Geoffrey I "Grisgonelle" "greymantel" Of Aujou DE ANJOU and his mother was Adelaide DE VERMANDOIS.  His paternal grandparents were Count Fulk II "The Good" Macon And Nevers OF ANJOU and Gerberge Of The Gatinais DU MAINE; his maternal grandparents were Robert OF VERMANDOIS and Adelis OF TROYES. He had three sisters named Ermengarde Of Brittany, Adelais and Gerberge Grisgronelle Of Angouleme.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 65 in 1040.
