Adelais was born in 0960. Adelais' father was Count Geoffrey I "Grisgonelle" "greymantel" Of Aujou DE ANJOU and her mother was Adelaide DE VERMANDOIS. Her paternal grandparents were Count Fulk II "The Good" Macon And Nevers OF ANJOU and Gerberge Of The Gatinais DU MAINE; her maternal grandparents were Robert OF VERMANDOIS and Adelis OF TROYES. She had a brother and two sisters, named Fulk III "The Black" Of Aujou, Ermengarde Of Brittany and Gerberge Grisgronelle Of Angouleme. She was the second oldest of the four children.
