Pons was born in 1065 in St. Pons, Charente-Maritime, France. Pons' father was Ponce Baron of Pons. His paternal grandparents were Pons FitzWilliam and Basilia. He had a brother named Richard. He was the older of the two children. Pons is no longer alive.
