Robert FitzMaldred , Lord of Raby 
Robert was born about 1170 in Raby Castle, Durham, England. Robert's father was Maldred FitzDolfin , Lord of Raby and his mother was Miss de Stuteville. His paternal grandparents were Dolfin FitzUchtred , Lord of Raby and Alice FitzWalcher of Durham; his maternal grandfather was John de Stuteville. He had a brother named Gilbert FitzMaldred. He was the older of the two children. He died before May 26th, 1248.General Notes

A Saxon, Lord of Raby, Brancepeth and Durham, who on March 17, 1227 gave 200 marks for his release on succession to her inheritance in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Durham. He held several civil offices and had military service. His death date is unknown but he must of been a very old man dying between June 24, 1242 and May 25, 1248 when his widow married Gilbert de Brakenberg.
