Maldred of Carlisle 
Maldred of was born about 1045 in Carlisle, Scotland. Maldred of's father was Maldred Lord of Carlisle & Allerdale and his mother was Aeldgyth (Edith) of Northumbria. He had a brother named Gospatric I Earl of Northumbria Mormaer. He was the younger of the two children. He died after 1084 in Winlaton Manor, Tyne & Wear, England.General Notes
Maldred; received c1084 the vill (township or manor) of Winlaton, now in Tyne and Wear, from the Bishop of Durham in exchange for part of the vill of Newton Katton. [Burke's Peerage]
He had a biological son named Uchtred.
