Baldwin "The Sheriff" Of Okehampton was born in 1039 in Exeter, Devonshire.  Baldwin "The Sheriff" Of Okehampton's father was Baron/Count Gilbert "Crispin" Of Tillieres OF BRIENNE and his mother was Countess Gunnora Of EU D'ANJOU.  His paternal grandparents were Count William I Of Brionne and Eu DE BRIENNE OF NORMANDY and Alice Lesseline DE TURQUEVILLE DE HARCOUNT; his maternal grandfather was Fulk. He had a brother and two sisters, named Richard FitzGilbert "DE Tonbridge" Of Bienfaite, Agnes and Elsie Hesilia.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 51 in 1090.
