Richard FitzGilbert "DE Tonbridge" Of Bienfaite was born in 1035.  Richard FitzGilbert "DE Tonbridge" Of Bienfaite's father was Baron/Count Gilbert "Crispin" Of Tillieres OF BRIENNE and his mother was Countess Gunnora Of EU D'ANJOU.  His paternal grandparents were Count William I Of Brionne and Eu DE BRIENNE OF NORMANDY and Alice Lesseline DE TURQUEVILLE DE HARCOUNT; his maternal grandfather was Fulk. He had a brother and two sisters, named Baldwin "The Sheriff" Of Okehampton, Agnes and Elsie Hesilia.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 55 in 1090.  He was buried in St. Neots, Huntington, England.
