Joan Princess of was born in 1211.  Joan Princess of's father was John Lackand I King of England and her mother was Isabella De Taillefer of AngoulÍme.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry II Curtmantle King of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were Aymer of AngoulÍme Count of Taillefer and Alice De Courtenay. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry III King of, Richard Plantagenet Earl of, Elizabeth Empress of and Eleanor Princess of.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had five half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Richard FitzJohn Baron, Henri De La Marche Count, William De Lusignan, Hugh Lusignan XI Count of Marche &, Geoffrey le Brun De Jarnac, Joan Princess of, Isabella, Alice and Marguerite.
