Elgiva was born about 0864. Elgiva's father was King Ethelred [AEthelred] "King of England" I of Wessex. Her paternal grandparents were King AEthelwulf [Ethelwulf] de Wessex of England and Queen Osburga [Osburh] (Judith) Ostacsdatter of Wessex. She had a brother named Aethelhelm. She was the younger of the two children. Elgiva is no longer alive.
They had a daughter named Thyra.
