Richard Marshal Earl of Pembroke

Richard Marshal was born in 1194 in of Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Richard Marshal's father was Sir William Marshal Earl of Pembroke and his mother was Isabel de Clare Cts de Strigoil. He had four brothers and six sisters, named William Marshal II, Gilbert Marshal, Walter Marshal, Anselm Marshal, Margaret, Maud, Isabella, Johanna (Joan), Sibilla and Eva.  He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 40 on April 16th, 1234.
