Roger was born about 1240 in Sowerby, England. Roger's father was Roger Del Feld. His paternal grandfather was Adam Del Feld. He was an only child. Roger is no longer alive.General Notes

"Note: The Field Lineage published in the "History of Westchester County", by John Bolton, Jr., traces our first ancestor to John Field of Ardsley - the famous mathematician and astronomer- from the county of York, England who married Jane Amyas of Kent. However, the information following is based on a lineage published using historical records in England and is probably more accurate. Our own "family records" begin with Benjamin, son of Anthony of Flushing. The disagreement centers around who Robert Field's parents were. Since Robert is our first American ancestor, all records of his parents would be located in England."
