Her paternal grandparents were Ralph De Mortimer of Wigmore and Gladys The Dark of Wales; her maternal grandparents were William De Braose IV Earl of Abergavenny and Eve Marshall. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Edmund De Mortimer Lord, Roger De Mortimer II Of, Isabella and Isolde. She was the third oldest of the five children. She had a half-sister named Eve.-
