Isabella was born in 1248 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England. Isabella's father was Roger Mortimer Lord of Wigmore and her mother was Maud De Braose. Her paternal grandparents were Ralph De Mortimer of Wigmore and Gladys The Dark of Wales; her maternal grandparents were William De Braose IV Earl of Abergavenny and Eve Marshall. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Edmund De Mortimer Lord, Roger De Mortimer II Of, Margaret and Isolde. She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-sister named Eve. She died at the age of 62 in 1310.-
