Guy II was born about 1037 in Montlhery, Oise, France. Guy II's father was Count of Rochefort Guy I De Montlhery Count of Rochefort and his mother was Hodierne De Gometz-La-Ferte. His paternal grandfather was Thibault Seigneur De Monthlery; his maternal grandfather was Sire De Bures Guillaume Seigneur De Gommets Sire De Bures. He had a brother and two sisters, named Milon I "Le Grand", Isabel and Melisande. He was the second oldest of the four children.
