Hugo von was born about 1120 in Dabo, Moselle, Lorraine, France.  Hugo von's father was Hugo IX Count of Dagsburg.  His paternal grandparents were Adalbert II von Egisheim and Ermisende of Luxembourg.  He was an only child.  Hugo von is no longer alive.
