William of Surrey was born in 1109.  William of Surrey's father was 2nd Earl William II of Surrey DE WARREN and his mother was Elizabeth Isabella Of Vermandois DE CREPI.  His paternal grandparents were 1st Earl William Of Surrey DE WARREN and Princess Gundred OF ENGLAND; his maternal grandparents were Count Hugh "The Great" Of Vermandois MAGNUS DE CREPI and Adelaide DE VERMANDOIS Adelherd. He had a brother and two sisters, named Reginald, Gundred and Adelaide Of Surrey.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Robert II "Brusso" Of Leicester, Waleran IV(Twin of Robert) Of Meulan, Maud, Isabel and Adeline.  He died at the age of 39 in 1148.  He was buried in Lewes Priory.
