Thribaut was born in 0976. Thribaut's father was Bouchard II "Le Barbu" DE MONTMORENCY and his mother was Helvide BASSET. His paternal grandparents were Bouchard DE MONTMORENCY and Hildegarde DE BLOIS. He had a brother named Bouchard III.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
