Ivo was born in 1066. Ivo's father was Lord/ Hugh II DE GRANDMESNIL and his mother was Adeliza Alice DE BEAUMONT. His paternal grandparents were Robert DE GRANTMESNIL and Hawise D'ESCHAUFFEN; his maternal grandparents were Count// Yves II DE BEAUMONT and Judith Adela DE GOURNAY. He had two sisters named Agnes and Amice. He had a half-brother named Robert II Of Cottingham. He died at the age of 52 in 1118.General Notes
Founded the first 5 Royal Tribes and restored the Crown ofGweynedd in 1081. Was imprisoned by the Normans in Chester in1081-1093 in Bangor Cathedral.
They had a son named Hugh II.
