Maud was born in 1064 in Avranches, Normandy, France. Maud's father was Governor Richard Le Goz Of St. James Castle D'AVARANCHES and her mother was Emma DE MORTAIN DE CONTEVILLE. Her paternal grandparents were Toustein LE GOZ and Turnvisa; her maternal grandparents were Herluin DE BURGH DE CONTEVILLE and Herleva DE FAILAISE. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Hugh "Lupus" "The Fat" Of Chester, Turstin, Enold DE BUSLI, Albreda, Emma, Margaret and Judith. She had a half-brother named Humphrey.General Notes
Founded the first 5 Royal Tribes and restored the Crown ofGweynedd in 1081. Was imprisoned by the Normans in Chester in1081-1093 in Bangor Cathedral.
They had two sons named John FitzHarold and Robert I FitzHarold Of Herefordshire.
