Thomas was born in 1182 in Caus, Shropshire, England. Thomas' father was Robert II Corbet , 4th Lord of Caus, Sir and his mother was Emma Pantulf. His paternal grandfather was Simon Corbet , Lord of Pontesbury; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Pantulf , Lord of Wemme and Christian FitzAlan. He had a brother and a sister, named William and Margaret. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 92 in September 1274.-
