Maud de was born about 1235 in Haneford, Hertfordshire, England.  Maud de's father was Walter III de Clifford and her mother was Margaret verch Llewelyn.  Her paternal grandparents were Walter II de Clifford , Sheriff Hereford and Agnes de Condet; her maternal grandparents were Llewelyn ap Iorwerth , Prince of Wales and Tangwystl verch Llywarch. She had a sister named Lucia de.  She was the younger of the two children. She had two half-brothers named William V de and Richard de.  She died before May 9th, 1285.

‌Maud de and William III de were married in a religious ceremony in 1254 in 1st husband.


Maud de's second family with John 1st Baron Giffard , Sir Knight

‌Maud de and John 1st Baron were married in a religious ceremony after 1257 in 2nd husband.  They had a son and two daughters, named John, Eleanor and Catherine.
