Philippe I 'the Fair' was born on May 23rd, 1052 in Reims, Champagne, France. Philippe I 'the Fair''s father was Henry I Capet , King of France and his mother was Anna Yaroslavna , Grand Dutchess of Keiv. He had three brothers and a sister, named Robert, Louis IV, King of France, Hugh "Magnus" and Emma Capet of. He was the oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother named Hugh 'the Great'. He died at the age of 56 on July 29th, 1108 in Melun, Isle De France, France. He was buried in St-Benoit-Sur-Loire, France.General Notes

Philip I (of France) (1052-1108), king of France (1060-1108), the eldest son of Henry I, king of France. The first six years of his reign were spent under the regency of his mother and his uncle. Philip's reign was troubled by many clashes with his powerful vassals, particularly in Normandy, but he succeeded in enlarging his dominions. Philip was excommunicated in 1095 because he had repudiated his wife, Bertha of Holland, and married Bertrada, the wife of the count of Anjou.
