Gilbert de CLARE EARL OF GLOUCESTER 
Gilbert de was born in 1182 in Hertford, Hertfordshire, England. Gilbert de's father was Richard De CLARE EARL OF HERTFORD and his mother was Amice FITZROBERT COUNTESS OF GLOUCESTER. His paternal grandparents were Roger De CLARE 2nd EARL OF HERTFORD and Maud de SAINT HILARY. He had a brother and three sisters, named Richard De, Maud (Matilda) De, Isabel De and Joane De. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 48 on October 25th, 1230 in Penrose, Brittany, France. He was buried on November 10th, 1230 in Tewksbury, Gloucester, England.-
