Angus Lord of Arran & was born about 1152 in Morven, Argyllshire, Scotland. Angus Lord of Arran &'s father was Somerled King of the Isles , King of Argyll and his mother was Raginhild Olafsdottir of Man. He had three brothers and a sister, named Rognvald, Dubhgall Dougall Mac Somerled King of, Arran of the and Agnes d'. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died in 1210 in Bute, Strathclyde, Scotland (killed by men of Skye).General Notes

Some sources have Angus's surname (as well as James-his son) as MacRory, but I believe that the "MacRory" name comes from the descendants of Rory, son of Rognvald, son of Somerled.
