William IV The Younger de Braose , Lord Bramber 
William IV The Younger de was born about 1175 in of Bramber, Sussex, England & Gower, Wales. William IV The Younger de's father was William III 5th Baron de Braose , Lord Bramber and his mother was Maude de St. Valery. His paternal grandparents were William II de Braose , 1st Baron of Abergavenny and Bertha de Gloucester , Heiress of Brecon; his maternal grandparents were Bernard IV de St. Valery and Eleanor de Domnart. He had a brother and two sisters, named Reginald Baron de, Margaret de and Leuca de. He was the oldest of the four children. He died in 1210 in Corfe, Windsor, England.General Notes

William did not accompany King Richard on Crusade but fought with King John against Philip in Normandy (1203/4). King John demanded William as a hostage for his father's loyalty in 1208. His mother Maud refused and the fled to Ireland. In 1210 John prepared an expedition to Ireland. Maud and William escaped Ireland, but were apprehended in Scotland. William the father was in Wales at the time. It is believed that Maud and William were starved to death at Windsor Castle (Some say Corfe).
