Margaret was born in 1221 in Forcalquire, Aples-De-Haute-Provence. Margaret's father was Raymond Berenger V Comte De Provence and her mother was Beatrice De Savoie. Her paternal grandparents were Alphonso II Comte De Provence and Countess of Castlerad Gersinde De Sabran Countess of Castlerad; her maternal grandparents were Thomas I De Maurienne Comte De Savoie and Beatrix Margaret De Geneva. She had four sisters named Eleanor, Sanchia, Beatrice and Beatrice. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 74 on December 21st, 1295 in Paris, Seine, France.General Notes
