Richard Bassett 
Richard was born about 1192 in Wallingford, Buckinghamshire, England. Richard's father was (Baron Wallingford) Thurston Basset (Baron Wallingford) and his mother was Mrs-Thurston Basset. He had six sisters named Isabel, Joan, Egilina, Alice, Matilda and Laurencia. He was the youngest of the seven children.
