Giles 2nd Baron de was born on October 1st, 1314 in Hambelton, Rutlandshire, England. Giles 2nd Baron de's father was Bartholomew IV 1st Baron de Badlesmere , Sir and his mother was Margaret de Clare. His paternal grandparents were Guncelin de Badlesmere , Justiciar of Chester and Joan FitzBernard; his maternal grandparents were Thomas de Clare , Lord of Thomond, Gov London and Juliane FitzMaurice. He had four sisters named Margery de, Maud de, Elizabeth de and Margaret de. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 23 on June 7th, 1338 in Castle Badlesmere, Kent, England (dsp). He was buried in White Friars Church, Canterbury, Kent, England.General Notes
