Joan De was born about 1368 in Ch√¢teau De Beaufort, Maine-et-Loire, France.  Joan De's father was John "Of Gaunt" Of ENGLAND DUKE OF LANCASTER and her mother was Catherine De ROET.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward III King Of ENGLAND and Philippa Queen Of ENGLAND COUNTESS OF HOLLAND; her maternal grandparents were Payn De ROET SIR KNIGHT GUIENNE KING OF ARMS and Catherine d' Avesnes , of Hainault. She had three brothers named John "Fairborn", Henry "Cardinal" De and Thomas. She had five half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, Edward, Henry IV King Of, John, Thomas, Philippa Plantagenet Queen Of, Isabel, Elizabeth and Catherine.  She died on November 13th, 1440 in Howden, Yorkshire, England.  She was buried in Lincoln Catheral, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.
