William de Audley 
William de was born on October 18th, 1253 in Heleigh Castle, Audley, Staffordshire, England. William de's father was James de Audley , of Heleigh, Sheriff of Salop and his mother was Ela Longespee. His paternal grandparents were Henry de Audley , of Heleigh, Sheriff-Stafford and Bertrade (Bertred) de Mainwaring; his maternal grandparents were William II Longespee , Sir Knight and Idoine de Camville. He had four brothers and a sister, named James de, Henry de, Nicholas de, Hugh 1st Baron de and Joan de. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died before November 12th, 1282 in slain in a Welsh expedition (dsp).General Notes
