Andronicus was born about 1115 in Constantinople, Turkey. Andronicus' father was Constantinus Angelus and his mother was Theodora Comnena. His paternal grandfather was Manuel Angelus; his maternal grandparents were Alexius I Comnenus Emperor of Byzantine Empire and Irene Ducas. He was an only child. He died in 1185.General Notes
