Cuthwine of Wessex 
Cuthwine was born about 0564 in Wessex. Cuthwine's father was King Ceawlin of Wessex. His paternal grandfather was King Cynric of Wessex. He was an only child. He died in 0593 in Battle of Barbury Hill.General Notes
Killed in battle. Cuthwine and Ceawlin fought the Britons in 577. They slew three Kings, and took the cities of Gloucester, Bath and Cirencester.
