Raoul de Tancarville 
Raoul was born in 1038 in Tancarville, Normandy, France. Raoul's father was Gerard de Abitot and his mother was Helisendis Unknown. His paternal grandfather was Gerard de Tancarville. He had three brothers named Ralph, Aumary and Gerard. He was the second youngest of the four children.
