John Upton 
John was born in 1654 in Salem, Essex, MA. John's father was John Upton and his mother was Eleanor Stuart. His paternal grandparents were William Upton and Amye Loves; his maternal grandfather was James Stuart. He had six brothers and five sisters, named James, William, Samuel, Ezekiel, Joseph, Francis, Eleanor, Eleanor, Mary, Ann and Isabel. He was the oldest of the twelve children.-
