James Upton 
James was born on January 5th, 1708 in Salem, Essex, MA. James' father was William Upton and his mother was Mary Maber. His paternal grandparents were John Upton and Eleanor Stuart; his maternal grandparents were Richard Maber and Mary Allyn. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named William, Paulsen, Francis, Edward, Richard, Timothy, Caleb, Mary and Dorcas. He was the third oldest of the ten children.-
