William Eugene Spalding 
William Eugene was born about 1836. William Eugene's father was Albert Mathais Spaulding and his mother was Lucinda Burton. His maternal grandparents were Blackman Burton and Jinsey Yancy "Jinny" Saxon. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Albert Theodore, James Mays, Hiram Tilman, John Roberts, Louis Turpin, Turpin Wilkes, Mary Ann, Emmala Thompson, Jane Tallulah, Louisa Jane and Elizabeth Sloan. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.-
