William Shapland

William was born in 1836 in North Molton, Devon, Eng. William's father was Edward Widlake Shapland and his mother was Ann (Nancy) Kingdon ***. His paternal grandparents were William Shapland *** and Winifred Widlake ***. He had a brother and four sisters, named Edward, Elizabeth, Winifred, Lydia and Mary. He was the second oldest of the six children.
