William Marshall 
William was born in 1162 in Pembroke, Wales. William's father was John (The Marshall) Fitz Gilbert and his mother was Sybil Salisbury. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert (The Marshall) Fitz Robert and Unknown de Venuz; his maternal grandparents were Walter Fitz Edward Salisbury and Maud de Chaworth *. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Margaret Fitz Gilbert. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 57 on May 14th, 1219 in Cavershamanor .-
