James Thomas LaMar was born about 1877. James Thomas LaMar's father was Daniel Andrew Dixon and his mother was Sallie Elizabeth Montgomery. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Dixon and Sarah Elizabeth Wilson. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Albert Montgomery, Cornelius, Carlos Calhoun, Charles Blackmon, W. Daniel, L.E., Laura, Sarah Elizabeth, Daisy, Lucy May and Annie Victoria. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.-
