Daniel Andrew was born about 1850. Daniel Andrew's father was Daniel Dixon and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Wilson. His paternal grandparents were Robert Dixon and Judith Burton. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Robert Elam, Lemuel, William, Blackman, John Wesley, David, Thomas, Martha and Victoria Elmina. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children.-
